Project Overview
Additional Details
The building was adjacent to the airport’s tarmac and required the disconnection of water, sewer, electrical, and propane heating services prior to demolition. In addition, a comprehensive hazardous materials assessment identified the presence of lead and asbestos-containing materials within the building that necessitated removal and disposal. To address these challenges effectively, Tri-Core worked closely with the airport authority to sequence and schedule the remedial works, ensuring that the demolition process minimized any disruptions to the existing airport operations.
During the demolition activities, Tri-Core managed the segregation of materials, including wood, plastics, metals, and concrete, for selective disposal at the Town’s waste disposal and recycling facility. This careful management not only complied with environmental guidelines but also contributed to the project's overall efficiency. Ultimately, the project was completed safely, under budget, and ahead of schedule, showcasing Tri-Core's commitment to excellence in project management and execution.
